Welcome to Suffolk-Holidays, Aldeburgh
Aldeburgh is a small, unspoiled and stylish English seaside town on Suffolk's Heritage Coastline in a most picturesque position, alongside a dramatic, shingled shoreline, bounded by heathland, marshes and river estuaries which provide an ideal environment for relaxation, walking, birdwatching, golfing and sailing.
Around 2 hours from London, Aldeburgh is internationally known for its Annual Festival for Music & Arts which was founded by Benjamin Britten and is still the centrepiece of a year round programme of events, primarily at the Maltings Concert Hall in nearby Snape, but also at various venues in the town.
Aldeburgh is a traditional English coastal town where you can still buy fresh fish from the fishermen's huts on the beach. There are lots of interesting independent shops, some excellent restaurants, tea rooms, art galleries, an old-style cinema, small supermarket, bookshops and inviting pubs serving local Adnams bitter; not to forget the famous fish & chip shops and ice cream parlour, where long queues of eager customers are a common sight in the summer!
